Selena Gomez Is Over Being Famous
Liam Payne has finally opened up about what it's like to be in a relationship with Cheryl, the X Factor judge and British pop singer he lusted over as a teenager. "This is the thing. In a non-cliché way, it’s weird waking up every day and literally living out your dream," he says. "Obviously I have the most -beautiful girlfriend in the world and she’s absolutely amazing. She’s been my dream girl since I was younger. She’s so ace." The One Direction member goes on to gush, "She is a wonderful, wonderful person and it’s amazing to have someone who can relate to so much of things--someone who’s taken greater steps than me. Her solo career was ¬amazing. She’s been in the -industry for 14 years now. She fully supports me. We’re super happy. It’s a very personal, precious time for us. I’m still ¬learning. I’m only 23." Liam and his 33-year-old girlfriend first met when he was a 14 year old auditioning on X Factor. Cheryl was 24 at the time. The two began dating last year and are currently expecting their first child together.
It’s shaping up to be a very busy year for Tyra Banks. Just days after revealing that she will be the new host of America’s Got Talent, the model and business woman has revealed that she will also be returning as the host of America’s Top Model, replacing Rita Ora. Tyra says, "After giving it a lot of thought, I realized that remaining behind the camera wasn’t enough because ANTM is woven into my DNA.” Top Model aired for 22 seasons on UPN and The CW before being rebooted by VH1 this year.
Gwyneth Paltrow is reportedly ready to marry American Horror Story producer Brad Fulchuk, who she has been dating since 2014. According to my source, they talk about marriage all the time and Brad is expected to propose soon.
In other Gwyn news, her lifestyle website Goop has launched a line of vitamins. Four lines are being offered: the Mother Load (aimed at post-natal depletion), Why Am I So Effing Tired? (for fighting fatigue), Balls in the Air (to help with overall wellness) and High School Genes (to aid metabolism).
According to One Direction's Liam Payne, Donald Trump once booted the group from his New York City hotel because they would not meet his daughters. During a recent interview Liam said, “Donald Trump kicked us out of his hotel once. You wouldn’t believe it. It was about [meeting] his daughter. He phoned up our manager and we were asleep. He said ‘Well wake them up’ and I was like ‘No’ and then he wouldn’t let us use the underground garage. Obviously in New York we can’t really go outside. New York is ruthless for us. So he was like ‘Okay, I don’t want you in my hotel.’ So we had to leave.”
Contact Music claims The Weeknd and Selena Gomez recently rented out an entire theater somewhere in Canada so they could watch the new movie Get Out. They snacked on popcorn and cocktails.
Despite being one of the world's biggest pop stars, Selena Gomez lives in an Airbnb and has only two celebrities whom she keeps in contact with. She says, “I think 17 people have my phone number right now,” she admits in her first-ever cover story for Vogue magazine. "Maybe two are famous." The 24-year-old singer goes on to reveal that "going out" these days consists of taking long drives with her girlfriends: a realtor, a techie and some folks from church. Additionally, in her effort to take care of her mental health, she sees her shrink five days a week and has become a passionate advocate of Dialectical Behavior Therapy, a technique developed to treat borderline personality disorder that is now used more broadly, with its emphasis on improving communication, regulating emotions and incorporating mindfulness practices. “DBT has completely changed my life,” she declares. “I wish more people would talk about therapy. We girls, we’re taught to be almost too resilient, to be strong and sexy and cool and laid-back, the girl who’s down. We also need to feel allowed to fall apart.”
Of course last summer Selena checked into a psychiatric facility in Tennessee. And in her new Vogue interview she explains why.
She says, "Tours are a really lonely place for me. My self-esteem was shot. I was depressed, anxious. I started to have panic attacks right before getting onstage, or right after leaving the stage.
"Basically I felt I wasn't good enough, wasn't capable. I felt I wasn't giving my fans anything, and they could see it."
Part of that had to do with her fans getting older . . . "I was so used to performing for kids. At concerts I used to make the entire crowd raise up their pinkies and make a pinky promise never to allow anybody to make them feel that they weren't good enough.
"Suddenly I have . . . people in their 20s, 30s, and I'm looking into their eyes, and I don't know what to say . . . I felt I had no wisdom to share. And so maybe I thought everybody out there was thinking, 'This is a waste of time.'"
If you're a parent, and one of your worst nightmares is getting on a plane with your babies and toddlers . . . well, Ryan Reynolds can relate.
He was on "Good Morning America" yesterday, talking about parenting. And when the topic of taking kids on planes came up, he said, "I've always had empathy for parents . . .
"You can see they're sweating and they're nervous because their kids are yelling and everyone's mad at them. I'm the same way. I'd rather drink a piping hot bowl of liquid rabies than get on a plane with my two children." He was joking . . . sort of.
Time to celebrate! Demi Lovato reflected on her five years of sobriety in a heartfelt post on Instagram Wednesday.
Demi wrote: “So grateful. It’s been quite the journey. So many ups and downs. So many times I wanted to relapse but sat on my hands and begged God to relieve the obsession. I'm so proud of myself but I couldn't have done it without my higher power (God), my family, friends, and everyone else who supported me. Feeling humbled and joyful today. Thank you guys for sticking by my side and believing in me."
Demi has publicly battled her demons, entering rehab in 2010 for emotional and physical issues and revealing that she almost sought help in 2013 for an eating disorder. She has also revealed that she has bipolar disorder.
In 2013, Demi opened up about her struggles with alcohol and drugs saying, "I couldn't go 30 minutes to an hour without cocaine and I would bring it on airplanes. I would smuggle it basically and just wait until everyone in first class would go to sleep and I would do it right there. I'd sneak to the bathroom and I'd do it. ... And that was even with somebody (with me), I had a sober companion, somebody who was watching me 24/7 and living with me (and) I was able to hide it from them as well."
Girls creator and star Lena Dunham can’t say enough good things about fitness pro Tracy Anderson, mainly because she never felt like Tracy was trying to change who she was while she helped her get in shape, Lena says. At the opening of Tracy’s new flagship studio in NYC Lena said, “I came to her and was like, ‘I have endometriosis, I have chronic physical pain, I just want to feel stronger I just want to have a stronger core, I want to feel like I have more power throughout my day, how do I get there?’ I like that she was coming at it from that perspective rather than like, I’d like to shrink six inches…” Amen to that!
