Orlando Bloom has Moved On from Katy Perry
Survivor contestant Jeff Varner gambled and lost big by making the decision to out fellow tribemate Zeke Smith as transgender on Wednesday’s episode of the hit CBS reality show. Jeff’s decision was met with outrage at the time – he was unanimously voted off the island – and there have been serious consequences for him since the show aired. According to reports, Jeff was fired from his job as a real estate agent on Thursday, with his former employer, Allen Tate Realtors, saying he was “in the middle of a news story that we don’t want anything to do with.” For his part, Jeff says the experience has changed him forever. He says, “I have been through, I don’t know how much therapy. With the show’s therapist, with a local therapist. I have met with and spoken to several LGBT organizations — I’ve joined the board of a couple of them… this has changed me drastically.”
Tyrese Gibson made remarks that many found questionable last week about the manner in which women should conduct themselves. In a post on Facebook, the Fate of the Furious star admitted he misspoke. In an interview published Monday, Gibson derided the lifestyles of “sluts, skeezers, hoes, tramps and overly aggressive, promiscuous women." On Friday, Tyrese was remorseful, writing that his mother "better than this." He continued, writing: "This is a real lesson learned.... I want to truly say that I'm sorry, I'm not apologizing in an effort to be politically correct, I apologize as a man first for the things that I've recently said about choices women have the right to make, for the terms that I've used and the way I've come across."
Fate of the Furious cleared just shy of $100 million at the box office this weekend.
The $100 million marks a record opening for an African-American director with F. Gary Gray beating the previous record he set with $60.2 million for Straight Outta Compton.
Chrissy Teigen and John Legend are serious about sweets. The superstar duo pulled out all the stops for a birthday cake for daughter Luna’s first birthday. Chrissy gave fans a behind-the-scenes look at their creative efforts after enrolling in a class at Duff’s Cakemix Bakery. The results are stellar with a gorgeous layered cake featuring silver fondant polka dots, Luna’s name, the number one (it’s her first birthday) and a purple party hat. As if that’s not enough artisanal handmade cuteness, Chrissy and John also built Luna a toy kitchen, a purple shopping cart and a pink Little Tikes car. Lucky Luna!
Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner are on the same page, even as they divorce. The former couple officially filed divorce papers on Thursday in a coordinated and unusual show of solidarity.
They both filed near identical paperwork simultaneously and they both cited in pro persona, a legal term that means they are representing themselves instead of using a lawyer.
According to a legal expert, the move will keep their divorce private and signal that it is friendly and mutual. That said they are both likely consulting lawyers behind the scenes.
There was another notable omission in the filing: neither party specified their separation date. In California law, income and assets are divided equally up to the separation date, meaning that there are likely significant assets tied to the date the couple pegs.
Meanwhile, Ben is looking to move out of the guesthouse of the couple’s Pacific Palisades property that he has been living in since their separation, which was announced two years ago.
Ben and Jen have continued to co-parent their three — Violet, 11, Seraphina, 8, and Samuel, 5 — since their separation and have taken vacations together as a family.
Ben is reportedly looking for a home nearby so they can continue to co-parent closely. They are reportedly negotiating joint custody in addition to ironing out their financial agreement.
This is not a drill. Goop-founder and notorious clean-living, detoxing, vaginal-steaming wellness advocate Gwyneth Paltrow has revealed that she, too, occasionally eats fast food.
No word on whether she would still rather “die than let my kid eat Cup-a-Soup,” something she memorably told Conan O’Brien in 2005.
The crew at Goop, recognizing that fast-food is sometimes the only option, put together a guide that explains how readers should handle this potentially lifestyle-threatening situation with "go-to orders, menu hacks and when you should just go straight for the French fries."
In the “best bets” section, options include Chipotle (a salad bowl with black beans, no dairy), Wendy’s (the Power Mediterranean Chicken Salad with balsamic dressing) and Starbuck (egg white and roasted red pepper sous vide bites).
In the “tricky but doable” section are McDonald’s, Dominos, and Taco Bell. The Goop-approved response is to sub in beans for meat whenever possible and skip dairy. Sounds fun!
The most foreboding section is titled, ominously, “just order the fries …” At places where “clean-ish options are few and far in-between,” Goop recommends mindfully throwing up your hands and just ordering the curly fries at Arby's and a sundae at Dairy Queen.
Well, that was fast. Less than two months after partying ways with Katy Perry, Orlando Bloom has moved on with Vampire Diaries star Nina Dobrev. My source tells me "they’ve known each other for a while. Recently they’ve been hanging out as more than friends. It’s super casual."
Orlando recently told Elle UK that he and Katy are still good friends. Nina is also on good terms with her ex and former Vampire Diaries co-star Ian Somerhalder.
Kendall Jenner hit Coachella this weekend and had several interviews lined up, but my source tells me that all questions had to be submitted in advance. Any mention of Pepsi or her failed ad meant that she would immediately shut down the interview. Pepsi’s latest ad featured Kendall and was pulled a day after its release after widespread outrage charging it with trivializing police brutality and the Black Lives Matter movement.
Kelly Clarkson is being accused of "child abuse" after posting an Instagram video over the weekend that shows her 2-year-old daughter River trying Nutella for the first time. The clip shows the happy toddler taking a bite out of a piece of toast smeared with the chocolate and hazelnut spread. "River, do you like Nutella?" Kelly asks. "Yeah," River cheerfully replies before doing a little dance. Critics were quick to blast the singer in the comments section underneath the post. "Giving food like this to a chid is child abuse," one Instagram user declared. Another wrote, "Nutella is hella bad for you. PACKED with sugars." Several people, however, defended Kelly from the criticism. "God forbid a parent give their child a little sugar!" one supporter wrote.
Selena Gomez and The Weekend continued their love fest while attending the first weekend of the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival. Selena shared a picture of her and The Weeknd posing in sunglasses at the festival. On Friday, the pair were also seen getting cozy during rapper Travis Scott’s set.
Lorde debuted a new song called “Sober” during a surprise show in Joshua Tree on Friday, which marked her first live concert in nearly two years. Lorde also premiered a song called “Homemade Dynamite” during her set at Coachella on Sunday night. Both are expected to appear on her sophomore album Melodrama, which drops June 16.
Sandra Bullock donated $5,000 into a GoFundMe campaign for an 86-year-old, homeless, former hotel pool manager.
His name is Svend Petersen, and he managed the pool at the Beverly Hills Hotel for 40 years, going back to the days of stars like Marilyn Monroe, Cary Grant, Faye Dunaway, Fred Astaire, and Katherine Hepburn.
Apparently, he got swindled, and ended up homeless and in trouble with the IRS. The GoFundMe was supposed to raise $5,900, but it's already over $63,000, including Sandra's 5-large.
