Warner Brothers’ 1999 blockbuster, “The Matrix”, is coming to IMAX theaters for the first time ever next month! The sci-fi action film will show in select markets for only two days on Dec 7th and 8th. This is a great primer before the next installment of the Matrix franchise, “Resurrections”, premieres in theaters on Dec 22nd.
Jay-Z can continue to lay claim to his G.O.A.T. status. On Tuesday, Jay became the most nominated Grammy artist ever. With three nominations for the upcoming Grammy Awards, Hov has reached 83-lifetime nods. He was previously tied at 80 with legendary producer Quincy Jones. Jay-Z has 23 Grammy wins.
Morgan Wallen is in demand. Tickets just went on sale for his upcoming 2022 arena tour, “The Dangerous Tour”, and a lot of the shows sold out during the presale before tickets even went on sale to the general public. In fact, Morgan added a second show at Bridgestone Arena in Nashville and Madison Square Garden in New York City after those shows sold out pretty much immediately. With his tickets are right up there with The Rolling Stones.
Rihanna fans continue to support her as they wait for new music. RiRi just broke a barrier by becoming the first female to have seven YouTube videos reach one billion views. The latest video to reach the mark was for her song “We Found Love.”
A live-action TV adaptation of the groundbreaking sci-fi film “Blade Runner” is currently in development. Filmmaker Ridley Scott, who directed the 1982 film, told BBC that a Blade Runner TV series is being planned and the first season will span 10 episodes.
Taylor Swift has scored her 10th #1 on the Billboard 200 chart with “Red (Taylor’s Version)”. That makes her the second woman with 10 or more #1s in the chart’s 65-year history. Barbra Streisand has 11. The original 2012 version of “Red” led the list for 7 weeks.
Green Day, on December 10, will release the 16-song album “BBC Sessions”. It will feature live cuts recorded for the Corp. between 1994 and 2001.
Stephen Colbert’s bandleader Jon Batiste has the most Grammy nominations this year, with 11. Justin Bieber, Doja Cat, and H.E.R. scored eight each . . . while Billie Eilish and Olivia Rodrigo tied with seven.
On “Live with Kelly and Ryan”, Ryan Seacrest said he eats Thanksgiving dinner at 2:30. Kelly Ripa said her family eats at dinnertime . . . and guest Kevin Hart said his family goes even later . . . like 8:00 p.m.
The Jonas Brothers Family Roast made its debut on Netflix and shows that Sophie Turner was eager to mock the brothers’ purity rings. Joe Jonas’s wife said, “Let’s talk about the purity rings. For those of you who don’t know, purity rings are worn to demonstrate that you’re abstaining from sex before marriage and the Jonas Brothers all had them.” She joked, “Look, Joe Jonas wasn’t just sticking his fingers in some dumb metal ring. He was sticking his fingers in co-stars, actresses and even a supermodel or two.”
Dua Lipa announced that her new project, Service95, will launch in early 2022. According to a press release, “Service95 is a global style, culture, and society concierge service created to help the reader make sense of the world. Machine Gun Kelly is not happy about his Grammy snub. MGK, who won Top Rock Artist at the Billboard Music Awards and Favorite Rock Artist at the American Music Awards, tweeted, “wtf is wrong with the grammys,” on Tuesday. Despite topping the Billboard top 200 charts with his 2020 album “Tickets to my Downfall”, the rocker has never been nominated for a Grammy.
The South Korean beauty brand Amorepacific has announced an exclusive collaboration with BTS. A limited-edition version of the company’s popular Laneige Lip Sleeping Mask, the BTS Amorepacific Lip Sleeping Mask Purple Edition, will be available in time for their Los Angeles show at SoFi Stadium, officially dropping on Saturday, November 27th.

Colton Underwood’s new Netflix special “Coming Out Colton” is set to launch on December 3rd. Colton, a former football player and former star of ‘The Bachelor’, came out as gay on ‘Good Morning America’ in April.
