Born in Syracuse, New York and raised in Grapevine, Texas he is an American rapper, singer and songwriter, he has gained acclaim for blending musical genres including hip hop, pop, trap, and rock, his introspective songwriting, and his laconic vocal style.

He has sold 60 million records in the US, received a Diamond certification by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) for and has 20 platinum and multi-platinum singles in the US.
