The Jonas Brothers are heading to Broadway. The group announced Friday, “We’re coming to Broadway and playing the Marquis Theatre March 14-18!! Each night will be focused on a different album and we’ll be playing all the hits.” They’ll kick things off by performing tracks from 2007’s “Jonas Brothers” on March 14th and continue with “A Little Bit Longer”, “Lines Vines and Trying Times”, “Happiness Begins” and “The Album” on subsequent nights.
Gordon Pinsent, one of Canada’s most prolific and iconic actors, has died. He was 92. The Grand Falls, NL native’s storied career spanned over 150 credits over 6 decades, including “Due South”, “The Red Green Show”, “The Grand Seduction’ and “The Shipping News”.
James Corden’s exit from “The Late Late Show” will arrive with a little help from wingman Tom Cruise. CBS has confirmed that a primetime special titled “The Last Last Late Late Show” will air at 10pm on April 27. Tom will join James as the lovable ‘Timon’ and ‘Pumbaa’ from the Disney classic “The Lion King”.
Nick Cannon says it’s not up to him how many kids he ends up having — he’s leaving it to a higher power. Nick said: “God decides when we’re done, but I definitely got my hands full.” The father of 12 also said at this point, he is “so focused. I’m locked in. But, when I’m 85, you never know I might have more.”
Stern Pinball has announced a Foo Fighters-themed pinball machine. The company released a trailer announcing the limited-edition machine, which will be available for sale on its web site beginning tomorrow. Cartoon versions of the bandmembers appear in the clip, which is soundtracked by the Foo song ‘All My Life’.
Rod Stewart made good on the promise he made during a TV phone-in to pay for some folks’ MRIs. Last month he called in to the UK show “Your Say” show to vent his frustration about patients who were on long-term waiting lists. Friday, he covered the costs for 20 people who were scanned via a mobile unit in Essex.
The official trailer is out for the new documentary “Bono & the Edge: A Sort of Homecoming With Dave Letterman”, which hits Disney+ March 17. It features the late-night host as he travels to Dublin to spend time with the 2, who deliver an intimate concert and discuss their 45-year friendship.
Hugh Jackman has spent over two decades, six movies and two cameos playing Wolverine in the “X-Men” film franchise, and it has taken a toll on his voice. “I’ve done some damage to my voice with Wolverine. My falsetto is not as strong as it used to be and that I directly put down to some of the growling and yelling. My vocal teacher in drama school would’ve been horrified with some of the things I did.”
King Charles is having a hard time getting decent artists to perform at his coronation. So far he’s been turned down by Elton John, the Spice Girls, Harry Styles, Ed Sheeran, and Adele . . . mostly due to scheduling conflicts.
If you dug “Cocaine Bear”, get ready for “Attack of the Meth Gator”. It’s being made by the same people who did the “Sharknado” movies. It’s coming this summer, probably straight to DVD and On Demand.
Does every Canadian singer know each other? Probably not but give them time. Tenille Townes met Bryan Adams in a Vancouver staircase last summer. It was a short talk, but it gave her the courage to send him a song, hoping he’d record it with her. It’s called, “The Thing That Wrecks You”, and it’s out now.
“Ant-Man 3” only made $32.2 million, which was a 70% drop from its opening weekend. But it was still enough to win the box office. “Cocaine Bear” was a strong second with $23.1 million.
Tom Cruise had an emotional reunion with Val Kilmer on the set of “Top Gun: Maverick”. “I’ve known Val for decades, and for him to come back and play that character — he’s such a powerful actor that he instantly became that character again. You’re looking at Iceman,” Cruise said. “I was crying. I got emotional. He’s such a brilliant actor, and I love his work.”
