Drake brought his mom onstage during the second of his three Madison Square Garden concerts on Tuesday. Video shows Sandi Graham sitting on a couch with her son as he serenades her with “Look What You’ve Done”. The song is about how Drake’s family and friends helped to launch his career, and Sandy even gets a special dedication in the lyrics.
Although the Greta Gerwig-directed “Barbie” comedy continues to do big numbers at the box office, the filmmaker isn’t itching to start on a sequel. She told a reporter: “At this moment, it’s all I’ve got. I feel like that at the end of every movie, like I’ll never have another idea and everything I’ve ever wanted to do, I did. I wouldn’t want to squash anybody else’s dream, but…at this moment, I’m at totally zero.”

Jason Aldean’s ‘Try That in a Small Town’ has become the highest-charting hit of his career. The song entered the Billboard Hot 100 at #2 on Tuesday, just behind BTS member Jungkook’s ‘Seven’. The song posted 228,000 sales, the biggest sales week for a country song in over 10 years. It also saw a 547% increase in streaming.
Nickelback just shared a full-length trailer for their upcoming documentary “Hate To Love”. Nickelback is one of the most successful acts in music history — they’re also the number one band haters love to hate. The film digs into the band’s 30-year history and all the ups and downs throughout their career. It will premiere in September at the Toronto Film Festival.
The “Barbie” movie is a cultural phenomenon. According to Fresha, a beauty salon appointment company, Barbie-inspired services have jumped over 500 percent since last year. The salons have seen more people booking appointments to go platinum blonde or get pink nails and hair to match the signature Barbie color.

But this is a new one on me. Hitting theaters on August 30th is “Slotherhouse” . . . the sensitive tale college sorority girls fighting for their lives against a KILLER SLOTH. The movie is a horror-COMEDY, and the producers say it, quote, “scratches that sloth itch we didn’t know we had.”

Jason Aldean has trimmed six seconds from his “Try That in a Small Town” video. According to the “Washington Post”, he removed footage from a Fox Atlanta news report that showed violent imagery from a BLM protest in 2020. Jason hasn’t commented . . . but his record company confirmed the footage was edited due to “third party copyright clearance issues”.
Carrie Underwood spent last Saturday with her husband, Mike Fisher, who was being inducted into the Tennessee Sports Hall of Fame. Mike played 17 seasons in the NHL . . . the last seven with the Tennessee Predators. Mike is Canadian, but in 2019 he because a U.S. citizen.
Netflix isn’t ready to move on from Johnny Depp’s 2022 defamation trial against Amber Heard just yet. According to PopSugar, the streaming platform dropped the first trailer for a docuseries titled “Depp v. Heard” on Wednesday. The series, set to be released on August 16th, will cover all aspects of the trial—including how it was perceived on social media.
