Shaboozey’s “A Bar Song (Tipsy)” sticks at No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart for a landmark 17th total week. The crossover hit becomes the longest-leading No. 1 by an artist with no accompanying acts in the Hot 100’s 66-year history, surpassing the 16-week rule of Morgan Wallen’s “Last Night” in 2023. “A Bar Song (Tipsy)” trails only the 19-week run of Lil Nas X’s 2019 hit, “Old Town Road” featuring Billy Ray Cyrus, for the longest No. 1 streak in chart history.
Tom Cruise sprints back into action and hangs off a plane in the first trailer for the 8th “Mission: Impossible” film, titled “The Final Reckoning”. New faces this time out include Nick Offerman, Bob Odenkirk, Janet McTeer, Hannah Waddingham and Katy O’Brian. Tom posted the new trailer and captioned it: “Our lives are the sum of our choices. Mission: Impossible – The Final Reckoning. See you at the movies May 23, 2025.”
The Hallmark Channel has set the Season 12 premiere date for the popular “When Calls the Heart”. A teaser promo that ran during star Erin Krakow’s Christmas movie on the network, “Santa Tell Me”, revealed that “When Calls the Heart” will return on January 5.

Nintendo’s latest earnings report has given gamers a big clue on their plans to drop a successor to the Nintendo Switch. It says that the company will drop the Switch’s next generation console during the end of the fiscal year – April 2025. The report also stressed that having a Nintendo account will play a “significant role’ in the second Switch to “carry over the good relationship that we have built with the over 100 million annual playing users.”
T-Pain got the love from his hometown. On Sunday, T-Pain received the key to Tallahassee, Florida. The artist returned home to perform at the county’s bicentennial celebration. Earlier this week, Tallahassee unveiled a street name change. Pasco Street was turned into T-Pain Lane in honor of the performer.

CBS announced that a new singing competition series called “The Road” has been ordered for fall 2025, with Blake Shelton and “Yellowstone” creator Taylor Sheridan among the executive producers. “The Road” will follow “a headlining superstar on their journey to discover the next big artist,” while also providing “a backstage pass into the gritty and unforgiving life of a touring artist.”

ABC just revealed its 2025 midseason premiere dates, including the start date for “American Idol” season 23 (Season 8 on ABC). The new season of Idol will begin on March 9, with new judge Carrie Underwood, 20 years after she claimed the title. Luke and Lionel have been judges since the ABC version of the series premiered in 2018. Katy Perry left last season.
