Jim Carrey could don the iconic green mask once again. He recently revealed that he’d be open to reprising his role in a sequel to his 1994 comedy “The Mask”. He said to Comicbook.com: “If somebody had the right idea, I guess… I said I’d like to retire, but I think I was talking more about power-resting. Because as soon as a good idea comes your way, or a group of people that you really enjoyed working with…things tend to change.”
Oscar-nominated writers Greta Gerwig and Noah Baumbach have an idea for a sequel to the blockbuster “Barbie” film. Hollywood Reporter says they have already brought their concept to Warner Bros., and while it is said to be in “early stages,” it is understood that this has opened the door for talks about creating another “Barbie” film.
Kristen Bell will host the 31st annual Screen Actors Guild Awards on Netflix, where she stars in “Nobody Wants This”. The SAG Awards will be streamed live on February 23. She previously hosted the show in 2018.
“Wicked: Part Two” has been renamed “Wicked: For Good” and is set to release on November 21, 2025. The first part has been a box office hit, earning over $524 million worldwide. It’s the highest-grossing Broadway adaptation.
Travis Scott was joined by a surprise guest Owen Wilson during his headlining set at Rolling Loud Miami 2024. The two performed ‘FE!N’ from the 2023 album “Utopia”. Video shows Owen enthusiastically shouting: “I’m feigning for more.” The surprise appearance comes amid news that Owen is set to star in “Rolling Loud”, a film inspired by the annual music festival.
Mariah Carey’s ‘All I Want for Christmas Is You’ has now garnered over 2 billion streams on Spotify. It is the first holiday song to hit that milestone, making it the most-streamed holiday song of all time. It has also hit #1 on the Billboard Hot 100 every Christmas for the last 4 years.
The Cure’s Robert Smith said in an interview that he may be on the verge of writing a Christmas banger. He claims to have composed a “really catchy” pop song, and he may add some festive lyrics on it for a release around the holiday season.

“The Kelly Clarkson Show” has been renewed for a 7th season. The show has been a daytime success, holding the top afternoon spot in nationally syndicated talk shows over its six seasons with an average of 1.2 million viewers daily.
Country fans can celebrate the end of 2024 with Jon Pardi. NHL and TNT are set to host Barnburner, a hockey-focused fan experience on December 31 in celebration of the 2025 Discover NHL Winter Classic in Chicago with Jon Pardi as the headliner. The event, which takes place around Chicago’s Wrigley Field, will feature Jon Pardi on the SAP stage.
Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes injured his ankle during Sunday’s game vs the Cleveland Browns. Mahomes limped off the field in the 4th quarter of the matchup. After the game, the Chiefs said Mahomes suffered a high ankle sprain and is week to week. The Chiefs have two games in five days coming up this Saturday and on Christmas Day.

Paramount+ revealed the “Yellowstone” prequel trailer Sunday night, just as the “Yellowstone” fifth and final season wrapped up with its anticipated finale. “1923” is set to premiere on February 23 on Paramount+.
Taylor Swift had the top two albums on Billboard’s 2024 year-end chart. “The Tortured Poets Department” landed at #1, followed by “1989 (Taylor’s Version)” at #2. Morgan Wallen’s “One Thing at a Time” came in third.
