Lizzo has signed on to play the ‘Godmother of Rock N’ Roll’ Sister Rosetta Tharpe in the upcoming Amazon MGM studios biopic “Rosetta”. Tharpe was one of the first-ever gospel singers who also appealed to rock n’ roll and R&B audiences. She is also considered a revolutionary guitarist.

In the crime drama, a family’s world is turned upside down when 13-year-old Jamie Miller is arrested for the murder of a teenage girl who goes to his school. “Adolescence” hit the top spot on Netflix’s weekly Top 10 list in its second week with 42 million views, bringing its total to 66.3 million views since launch. This has made the show the most-watched limited series and the most-watched UK title ever in two weeks.
