The 2024 Screen Actors Guild Awards nominations have been revealed. In movies, “Barbie” and “Oppenheimer” scored the most nods, with 4 each. On the TV side, the final season of HBO’s “Succession” scored 4. The SAGs will be handed out on February 24.
Lady Gaga seems to be gearing up to release new music. She posted 2 pics on Instagram from the recording studio: the first shows her posing in an oversized sweater and platform black boots with headphones on, and the second shows a guitar, with the caption of a heart and a musical notes emojis.
Paramore are not splitting up. Fans panicked recently when the band canceled a concert, wiped its social media, and took its website down. That came after talking about “uncertainty” about the group’s future. Well, fear not. Variety reports they are simply looking for an image reset after parting with Atlantic Records.
Maren Morris and Ryan Hurd have reached a divorce settlement. The co-parents also came to a custody agreement for 3-year-old son Hayes Andrew, with whom they will split time evenly while Maren pays Ryan $2,100 a month in child support. She filed for divorce on October 2.
Due to Hollywood’s dual strikes, the 75th Primetime Emmy Awards were delayed from last fall and will now air tonight. Hosted for the first time by star Anthony Anderson, the 2024 Emmy Awards will celebrate the best television shows that aired between 1 June 2022, and 31 May 2023.

Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce are both nominees, with Kelce up for athlete of the year, and Taylor nominated in 5 categories. 7 of the 8 nominees for social celebrity of the year are women, with Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson the lone male nominee. “Barbie” actor Simu Liu will host the ceremony on February 18.
Mary J. Blige will receive an Entertainment Icon Award at the 2024 Urban One Honors. She joins previously announced honorees Dionne Warwick and Chloé Bailey. The 2024 Urban One Honors will be recorded January 20, and air February 25, on TV One and CLEO TV.
Simon Cowell is a dad dog again! “Our family has had a new arrival … her name is Pebbles,” he captioned his IG post. In the two-photo upload, the cover picture sees the judge with a nice-sized pup in his arms. In the second photo, Simon nestles his face into Pebbles’ ear as he smiles. He doesn’t disclose the breed, but Pebbles is a Shiloh Shepherd, according to the comments.

The Weeknd’s hit “Blinding Lights” was already the most-played song in Spotify history, but yesterday it made history again by becoming the first song ever to reach 4 billion total streams on the streaming service. The song stole the crown last January from Ed Sheeran’s ‘Shape Of You,’ which used to be the most-streamed track ever and was the first to reach the 3 billion mark.
The Weeknd is making a “large donation” to School on Wheels in L.A. His money will be used to fund literacy programs, as well as buy laptops for over 1,000 schoolchildren.
A new “Top Gun” movie is in the works. The sequel to 2022’s “Top Gun: Maverick”, with star Tom Cruise set to return, is in development at Paramount. The plan for the new installment is to reunite stars Miles Teller and Glen Powell.
The musical adaptation of “Mean Girls” had a solid opening of an estimated #31 million at the box office. In second is “The Beekeeper,” the new Jason Statham action film, with a projected $18 million. And mixed results for “The Book of Clarence” which opened to a weekend estimate of just $3 million, barely cracking the top 10.
“Spider-Man” star Tom Holland clarified his relationship status with co-star Zendaya, telling reporters that they have “absolutely not” split up. Zendaya unfollowed Tom on Instagram along with a number of other people. It’s unclear why she unfollowed him, but it apparently has nothing to do with their relationship — she is currently following zero people.
Ariana Grande has sold her Hollywood Hills home to Bad Bunny. The Puerto Rican rapper paid $8.3 million for the 1,600-square-foot cottage, $600,000 less than Ari paid for it in 2021. Last year, she bought another Hollywood Hills house from Cameron Diaz for $5M.
The Black Crowes have released ‘Wanting and Waiting’, their first new song in 15 years, and announced the new album “Happiness Bastards”, out March 15. It will feature a Lainey Wilson collab called ‘Wilted Rose’.
Jason Aldean and Luke Bryan had a scary emergency landing on Friday while flying home out of St. Louis. Luke says it was 16 degrees and winds were blowing at 40 miles per hour, so some instruments on the plane weren’t working properly. But it all worked out. They were able to rent a car, and make a stop at Dairy Queen, with Jason behind the wheel.
Sources close to Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce are denying a Page Six report that the couple are not talking about their wedding plans. “Travis and Taylor have no plans on getting engaged this summer,” an insider told Us Weekly. “Things between them are going amazing, but they haven’t even been together for a year yet and still have so much to learn about each other.”
