Shane Jonas Memorial Bursary Fundraiser

In January 2019, Ronny and Carol Jonas of Jonas Building Restoration Ltd. 

tragically lost their son Shane at the age of 27. Shane also left behind his brother 

Travis, wife Mikaela and three children, Avery, Chase and Bea.

Shane was a proud 2010 graduate of the Building Construction Program at Algonquin College.

 

To honour Shane's memory and his commitment to excellence in the construction industry, the family created the Shane Jonas Memorial Bursary fund at Algonquin College.

 

This fund creates an annual bursary in the trades for students facing financial barriers to their education. Since created in 2019, this annual bursary has helped numerous Algonquin College students in achieving post secondary education and establishing a career in the skilled trades. 

 

This year the Jonas family is hosting the second annual fundraiser for the Shane 
Jonas Memorial Bursary. This family friendly event will include a live band, food and drink options, silent auction, raffle prizes, 50/50 and numerous activities for children. This event is sure to be a great time for an even greater cause
